Let's Talk Activities
The Let's Talk activities have been used successfully as part of community education strategies since 1994. Let's Talk activities provide a way for parents and guardians to assess their own children's knowledge, attitudes and behaviors-focusing on young people's experience with bullying, violence, substance abuse and injury.
About Let's Talk Trainers
Let's Talk Trainers offer parents, guardians and other adult family members the resources needed to talk with young people about today's tough topics. Topics range from bullying to drug use to Internet safety. Let's Talk Trainers also encourage parents to get involved at school and in the community to support student safety and health.
Bring Let's Talk to Your School, Neighborhood, Faith-based organization, Workplace or Home
Let's Talk Trainers recruit parents to attend workshops and to use the Let's Talk activities. Think about places that you visit or belong where other parents might be interested in learning how to talk to their children about health and safety. All types of people can become a Let's Talk Trainer. We seek people who care about kids and want to help other parents talk about health and safety. Let's Talk Trainers are guides for parents. Trainers lead workshops for parents in the workplace, schools and in the community.
Our Goal
Let's Talk helps parents and other community-minded residents keep every child healthy and safe. Let's Talk teaches parents new ways to talk with their children and helps to build a community where all youth can thrive.
